These crochet puff flower granny squares are so colorful and fun to make!
Materials
Worsted weight yarn
5mm crochet hook
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Abbreviations (US Terms):
ch: chain
dc: double Crochet
hdc: half double crochet
puff st: puff stitch
sc: single crochet
sp: space
st: stitch
Special Stitches:
Puff Stitch: yarn over, insert the hook and pull up a long loop 4 times, (9 loops on the hook) yarn over and pull through all 9 loops, ch1 to close the top of the puff.
Instructions:
Ch 4 and slip st into the first ch to form a ring
Round 1: ch1, (puff st into ring, ch1) 8 times. Join with a slip stitch in the top of the first puff, fasten off.
Round 2: Join with new color in any ch sp, (puff st, ch1) in ch sp, (puff st, ch1) in top of next puff; repeat from 7 more times, join with a sl st in top of first puff. - 16 puffs total
Round 3: Join with new color in an ch sp, (ch 3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc) in same sp, 2hdc in next sp, 2sc in next sp, 2hdc in next sp, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next sp; repeat from 2 more times, 2hdc in next sp, 2 sc in next sp, 2 hdc in next sp. Join with a sl st in top of ch 3. Fasten off.
Using a tapestry needle weave in all ends.
