Abbreviations:

C4B: cable 4 back - place the first 2 stitches on the cable needle and hold in back, knit 2 stitches from the left needle, then the 2 stitches from the cable needle

C4F: cable 4 front - place the first 2 stitches on the cable needle and hold in front, knit 2 stitches from the left needle, then the 2 stitches from the cable needle

k: knit

p: purl

RS: right side

st/sts: stitch/stitches

WS: wrong side

Worked Flat:

Cast on multiples of 8

Row 1 (RS): k to end

Row 2 (WS): p to end

Row 3: *C4B, C4F; repeat from * to end

Row 4: p to end

Row 5: k to end

Row 6: p to end

Row 7: *C4F, C4B; repeat from * to end

Row 8: p to end

Repeat rows 1-8


Worked in the Round:

Cast on multiples of 8

Rounds 1-2: k to end

Round 3: *C4B, C4F; repeat from * to end

Rounds 4-6: k to end

Round 7: *C4F, C4B; repeat from * to end
