Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn

Size H (5mm) crochet hook

Tapestry needle

Finished Size:

4' wide

Abbreviations (US Terms)

ch: chain

dc: double crochet

hdc: half double crochet

sc: single crochet

sl: slip

sp: space

st/sts: stitch/stitches

Pattern Notes:

Ch 1 does not count as a stitch

Ch 3 counts as a stitch

For cleaner color changes, work the last stitch before the new color, then pull through the new color on the last yarn over on that stitch.

When working between colors, the strands can be carried underneath each stitch, stranded in the back, or cut and woven in each time. It is a personal preference. If you do not feel comfortable with changing colors the face may be worked in a solid color and the eyes stitched on afterward.
