Do not turn, slide stitches to other end of needle to start work at cast on beginning. Pick up cc and wyif, *sl1yo, p; repeat from * to end.
Making sure not to twist the stitches, join needles for working in the round and attach a stitch marker to mark the round beginning.
Pattern Repeat:
Round 1 (first pass): with mc, *brk, sl1yo: repeat from * to end of round
Round 1 (second pass) with cc, *sl1yo, brp; repeat from * to end of round
Repeat the 2 rounds for 10" or desired width. End after a mc round.
Bind off using a stretchy bind off of your choosing. When binding off, treat the sl1yo stitches as 1 stitch and work them together.
Example of stretchy bind off:
Knit 2 stitches, slide stitches back to left needle and knit together through the back loop. (one stitch on right needle), knit one, then slide 2 stitches back onto left needle and repeat the process until 1 stitch remains. Break yarn and pull through.
Weave in ends with tapestry needle and block if needed..
